Our Photos become our memories, of a "moment in time that would otherwise be gone"  So true, I look back on my photos often, print them,  make photo books and create videos of my favourite places.    Today photos get posted to social meida and thats the end of it.  My hobbie is to take my photos and create the memory that will always be with me.   I try to keep my photos real, that if you returned to the same place you would s...

Working and living that's the day to day now.  I have finally scored a couple of casual jobs and enjoying being back in the mix of work life.  Definitely great interacting with people on a regular basis, great to be a home maker, but I was just starting to get to the point of wondering "what shall I do next"  ha ha.  You see the truth is you either have time and no money or money and no time...  We are trying to get that level...

Esperance isn’t quite your average weekend ride, but can be done comfortably in 4 days, leaving from Bunbury/Australind.

If your leaving from Perth you’ll go out through Hyden, good place to stay and check out Wave Rock. The down to Lake King and onto Ravensthorpe, then in to Esperance.

We would normally ride from Australind to Darkan, Arthur River, Wagin, Lake Grace, Lake King down to Ravensthorpe and into Esperance (663 k’s) T...

Nearly time to Hit the road again.  Planning to spend the next break "Behind Bars" riding to Esperance.  Approximately 1300 kms round trip.  Catching up with good friends, seeing family and checking out those beautiful Esperance Beaches.   Hoping the weather gods will be kind and we get a great few days of riding.

More updates to follow.

We have had a couple of days wandering on some of the best beaches in WA.  Really lucky to have them all so close to home.  Check out more information on my Blog “Southwest WA things to do” (Bunbury,Australind, Eaton)

Downsouth Beaches at Dunsborough were spectacular, Eagle Bay Beach, Castle Rock Bay and fishing off Castle Rock.  Closer to home we walked along Buffalo Beach, no crowds here.   It has been great just relaxin...

Had a great weekend in Albany in our Great Southern.  Always a great ride down from Bunbury to Albany approximately 330 kms.  We rode down via  Pemberton, staying the night at the Best Western Hotel, always good accommodation and meals in the Restaurant.

Perfect riding weather and good company.  We did a few tourist spots in Albany, tackled Castle Rock, checked out the Avenue of Lights, great views from the...

Christmas is over.  Comes and goes a little too fast for all the preparation, but this year was full on.  We got the keys to our house on the 14th December, so moved, unpacked and visitors for the Christmas Period.  Our house is now our home.  It has been a transition into normal life, still get itchy feet but have decided that we will live each day, some things will just have to wait and catching up with friends, riding the H...

The Christmas Season is upon us.  For a lot that involves travel, travel to be with family and friends, a destination that you have always wanted to see.    I’ve added to the bucket list, “A white Christmas”   It just seems to go with Christmas the white snow, the beautiful lights and so many photos we see of those magical Christmas scenes.  Living in Western Australia I know I will never see that, we usually have beautiful wa...

If your out looking for Kangaroo Viewing then Cathedral Avenue, Leschenault must be one of the best spots.  So neat to see theses Mums and their Babies.  They are all very close to the road, and when viewing be respectful and don’t go to close, they are still wild animals and can pack a punch.  You will find them out early morning and early evening.

Cathedral Avenue is part of the Scenic Drive off Forest Highway...

Just because we have stopped full time travel, doesn’t mean we stop planning, thinking and dreaming of all the destinations out there we still have on our bucket list.

Work gets in the way, but any form of travel costs money, and the ones that tell you it can be done for free or $1 a day, I don’t believe them.  So, we will work and play and hopefully win Lotto in between.

Where to next, well my sister is having her birthday in...

Love being back in WA on a sunny day and riding with good friends.  Finally getting some decent weather to ride in and back out exploring the Southwest.  Ventured to Walpole a few weeks back, the forest riding down there is just beautiful another bucket list item is to ride to Esperance.  We stayed at the Treetop Walk Motel, in Walpole. The rooms were spacious and clean,  with a swimming pool that you may have needed...

Travelling being a gypsy, it’s been a way of life for the past 2 ½ years.  Now were nearly back to the normal and truthfully it has its ups and downs.  We are looking forward to a “place to call home”.  Definitely an under lying factor during our travels, especially at our age.  Getting set back up hasn’t been easy but persistence has paid off.  Be aware that once your over 50 jumping back into housing and work is not quite as...

Gee 2016 Trip was amazing, and I've just finished my video of the whole ride.  That's for my viewing.  But here is a snippet of the ride. Think this area is amazing the Sierra Nevadas we left crater lake and rode out over Ebbetts Pass and onto Sonora Pass, then headed up into Page Arizona.  The Slot Canyons are truly spectacular but of course you do have to like confined spaces, and lots of tourists, but can't believe what lie...

Been really slack on my website, busy returning to normal life.  Full circle you might say, we have purchased a house back in Australind,  Western Australia, where we will again call home.  We have sold our caravan and Ute, purchased new vehicles, been house sitting, and now one more stint in a cabin back in the caravan park and we will have our own home again on 14th December.   It has been a challenging few weeks, but it can...
